Let me know when your book will be available.. Margaret Regan (of the Tucson Weekly) just published a book about the situation here on the border & hers tells a lot about the Border Patrol, Grupo Beta, minute men etc., as well as about migrants. Ours is only stories about the migrants we have meet who have just crossted. I have really enjoyed Margaret's book & am looking forward to reading about undocumented in Maricopa Co. Down at the aid station were we see & treat the returnees, we have been seeing some from the Phoenix area. Previously we only saw the people picked up in the desert, but now MANY are people picked up by Arpaio's group or have been picked up by ICE in other parts of the country & then shipped here for deportation.
I look forward to your book...Norma

Cool looking book. I like the angle and the photos. Mine profiles indocumentados in Maricopa County. About the glitter, that was an extra touch just because it was a gift. The person who made it learned in jail then made me one after she got out. That's why she had the glitter!

I would guess it was made by undocumented workers that clean hotels; after cleaning the bathrooms they put a toilet paper rose in the bathroom.
I first thought perhaps it was made by women in detention by immigration authorities, but I doubt they would have access to red glitter...
