I sincerely hope that Molly Molly is protective of herself as the someone may "shoot the messenger" to kill the story. We need so many more brave souls to tell the events and history of 2010 where young people are still dying over the rights of Freedom of Speech that is horribly absent in Mexico and elsewhere. The story is hidden by crooked men (always the men) who manipulate people, press and power for their own benefit. As they are destroying Mexico they are destroying lives. What do they care? After they are done they simply retire in Brazil or Argentina. They are no different that Hitler's henchmen who enforce massive massacres and then flee the country to live in grand style in another country that won't prosecute war criminals. It's disgusting and needs to be dealt with by international law.

This story is unbelievably sad, and it's even worse to think of how many stories like this go unreported. The issues and hardships faced by the people in border towns make for an intense dynamic and the desperation often found in illegal immigrants across the Mexico-US border (and others). The immigration policies in the US should recognize the harsh role of the drug trade and human traffickers in abusing people trying to seek refuge from such situations as those in Juarez.

We owe so much to Molly for keeping our feet to the fire on this incredible Juarez story, so that we do all in our power to change U.S. Economic-political policy to Mexico which has created the conditions so suitable to the narco traffic and the crime associated with it. Impoverish Mexico's youth, workforce - and its security force - so their only option is migrate or work for the narcos.

yes. as a member of the frontera list, i know it happened too. without molly's work, i wouldn't. frontera's integrity to truth, thought, and awareness are, quite simply, necessary. the lives lost are not erased. thank you, molly.

a wonderful article.
